Having a Say!
“ It’s their fight-don’t get involved. It’s got nothing to do with us!” Nobody was thinking of getting “involved”. But there probably isn’t a better moment to try out some restorative building or constructive home building. In fact, there is great need to get involved in the sense of at least “having a say”.
Israel has effectively put paid to several of Iran’s proxies: Hamas in Gaza, Hezbullah in Lebanon and some effective steps in Iran itself. Deprived of proxies and confronted with uncertainty at home, Iran seems to be weakened..
Assad, a dictator and killer at home, had fled to Russia who, earlier, had told him that they were unable to help him in his own country.
Syria is anxiously wanting to re-build itself!
4. HTS, SDF,SNA,Turkey itself - the appropriate moment for some constructive reassessment and realignment.
5. The big Muslim nations : namely (SITE), Saudi Arabia, Iran, Turkey, Egypt, plus the Taliban in Afghanistan - all engaged in their own manner of government and none of them working satisfactorily. Why? (perhaps a later posting).
6. In other words, probably never a better moment for some constructive “intervention” and every reason to acquaint ourselves and at least to have a say! - AB
